![]() 05/2009 - Creating an outdoor workspace. |
A close-up of the interior before sanding and epoxy. |
|
In the Pacific Northwest, it rains a lot so we need a bit more coverage from the elements. |
![]() The boat is now level and we've built a walk-around scaffold. |
|
We repurposed the quarter rounds and created a step ladder so we can get inside and start sanding! |
Playing with cabin placement. This is one of several possible configurations. |

![]() Filleting the stringers and gunnel with epoxy. |
![]() Adding the frame for the cockpit sole. |
|
![]() Cut out for cabin door. |
![]() We're beginning to lay down the sole in the Cabin. |
|
![]() We have painted the bilge with fast drying bilge paint and have laid in the sole with hatch cover openings. |
![]() You can see the epoxy filleting on the stringers pretty well in this image. |

![]() The well for the outboard needs some small adjustments, then we can mount the engine. This is getting exciting! |
![]() Now that the sole is in, we are ready to install the outer stem. |
|
![]() The anchor locker has been painted white, sheer and crown lines have been established, and the outer stem is installed. |
Interior has received a coat of epoxy. Getting ready to button her up for winter...stay tuned. |
|
![]() February 2010 - An early spring means...at long last, PROGRESS! We have moved and are now building a new shelter to house our ongoing boat construction project. |
![]() We're using the tarp that used to cover the boat for the walls. That should keep the rain out (we hope). We'll be bringing in a power strip and adding lights inside. |
|
![]() We finally caught a break in the weather. We're supposed to have one more dry day before the never-ending rains begin again. Back to Work! |
![]() Since we plan to put a cabin on the old girl (eventually) we've built the new shelter to accomodate up to 11' in height. |
|
![]() March 2010 - Now that the house is finished, we're getting the boat level so that we can build the scaffolding that will allow us to walk around it easily and to get inside to work on the deck. |
The scaffolding is now in place (we've also covered the back wall - though you can't see it in this picture). Everything is level. Now it's time to work on the boat! What a novel concept!!! |
